Parkinson's disease is a motor system disorder resulting from the loss of dopamine-producing brain cells. Symptoms include: trembling in the hands, arms, legs, jaw, and face; stiffness of the limbs and trunk; slowness of movement; and impaired balance and coordination. No definition of the condition was provided to respondents or to interviewers.
