Description
For half of female sample persons aged 18 and over who have ever heard of a Pap smear test and have ever had a Pap smear because of a health problem (including their most recent Pap smear), PAPYEVOTHMED reports whether the health problem was some medical reason other than bleeding, pain, discharge, itching, burning, infection, a follow-up test or treatment, or an unrelated medical issue.
Related variable PAPLYOTHMED reports whether female sample persons aged 18 and over whose most recent Pap smear was because of a health problem had their most recent Pap smear because of some medical reason other than bleeding, pain, discharge, itching, burning, infection, a follow-up test or treatment (1987 only), or an unrelated medical issue (1987 only).
