Codes and Frequencies
For sample adults, OTHJUSIZ reports the respondent's average portion size (small, medium, or large) when drinking other juice (i.e., juice or fortified fruit drinks other than orange and grapefruit juice). A medium portion was defined as 6 ounces. Researchers may wish to use OTHJUSIZ with OTHJUNO, which reports the frequency with which the respondent drank other juice, and OTHJUTP, which reports the corresponding time unit.
OTHJUSIZ is part of a series of variables initiated in 1987 related to food, food knowledge, and cancer. For related variables, please use the IPUMS NHIS search function and drop-down menus.
