Description
For sample adults 18 and older who saw a doctor or other health professional in the past year, OPNFREQ reports how often the person's health care providers asked for their opinions or beliefs about their medical care or treatment. The initial question was followed up with the clarifying text, "[f]or example, what kinds of tests, procedures, or medications you prefer." This variable is one of a set of supplemental questions funded by the Office of Minority Health and Health Equity on the cultural competence of health care providers.
