Description

For sample adults who reported taking a prescription medication in the past 12 months and also have taken any opioids prescribed by a doctor in the past 3 months (OPIOID3MO), OPIOIDAPAIN reports whether the sample person took a prescription opioid in the past 3 months to treat short-term or acute pain. Examples of short-term or acute pain include pain due to a broken bone or muscle sprain, pain from dental work, or pain following surgery.
