Description

For sample persons ages 18 and older who have at least two other biological parents of the person's child(ren) who have been diagnosed by a doctor with cancer, OP2CAN reports whether the person can report a valid cancer code for the second other parent with known cancer. Please use drop down menus for related variables.

Versions of this variable are available for up to three other biological parents of the person's children. Please use the drop down menu and search function for related variables.

Universe

  • 1987: Half of sample persons age 18+ (excluded from CACT supplement) who have at least 1 child (or an unknown number of children), for whom the first mentioned other parent (of any of respondent's children) had cancer, and for whom the first other parent mentioned was not the parent of all respondent's children.
