Description
For sample persons ages 18 and older who have at least two other biological parents of the person's child(ren) who were diagnosed by a doctor as having cancer for which the sample person gave a valid cancer code and the second other parent is known to be dead, OP2AGED reports the age at which that other parent died.
Versions of this variable are available for up to three biological parents of the person's children. Please use the drop down menu and search function for related variables.
Universe
- 1987: Half of sample persons age 18+ (excluded from CACT supplement) who have at least 1 child (or an unknown number of children), for whom the other parent (of any of respondent's children) had cancer, for whom the first other parent mentioned was not the parent of all respondent's children, and for whom the second other parent mentioned was ever diagnosed with cancer and had a valid cancer code, and the second other parent is dead.
