Description
For sample persons ages 18 and older who reported that at least two other biological parents of the person's child(ren) were ever diagnosed with cancer by a doctor for which the sample person gave a valid cancer code, OP2AGEC reports the age at which the second other parent with cancer was first diagnosed as having cancer.
Versions of this variable are available for up to three biological parents of the person's children. Please use the drop down menu and search function for related variables.
Universe
- 1987: Half of sample persons age 18+ (excluded from CACT supplement) who have at least 1 child (or an unknown number of children), for whom the other parent (of any of respondent's children) had cancer, for whom the first other parent mentioned was not the parent of all respondent's children, and for whom the second other parent mentioned was ever diagnosed with cancer and had a valid cancer code.
