Description
For sample persons ages 18 and older who have at least one other biological parent of the person's child(ren) who has been diagnosed by a doctor with cancer and reported a valid cancer code for the first other parent with known cancer, OP1CAN2 reports whether that other parent was ever diagnosed with any other type of cancer by a doctor.
Versions of this variable are available for up to three other biological parents of the person's children. Please use the drop down menu and search function for related variables.
Universe
- 1987: Half of sample persons age 18+ (excluded from CACT supplement) who have at least 1 child (or an unknown number of children), for whom the first reported other parent of respondent's children was ever diagnosed with cancer, and for whom a valid cancer code for the first other parent's first cancer was reported.
