Description

For all persons who reported more than one usual place of medical care, or who reported that the reason they have no usual place of medical care is that they have two or more usual places of care, ONEPLCARE reports if there is one place for medical care the person uses most often. This question was included in the 1993 to 1996 Access to Care supplement.

Comparability

There are no comparability issues with this variable. In 1993, this question was asked only of persons in quarters 3 and 4; changes in quarters when questions are asked reduce precision of estimates but do not affect comparability.
