For sample adults in 2002 and 2012 who have seen a practitioner for naturopathy during the past 12 months (NATYR), NATINSURE indicates whether any of the costs of using naturopathy were covered by insurance.
Naturopathy was one of many alternative health treatment modalities included in the 2002 and 2012 Complementary and Alternative Health Supplements. If sample respondents gave a positive response to NATINSURE, they were asked a series of follow-up questions.
