Description
For sample persons age 18 and older, MOSTDEATH1 reports one of the top two reasons the person believes caused the most deaths in the United States in the past year. The second of the top two reasons is reported in the variable MOSTDEATH2. Please see the codes tab for response options.

- 1992: Half of sample persons age 18+ in quarters 1 and 2, and in 2 weeks of quarter 3 (excluded from CAEP supplement).
