For sample adults aged 18 and over who have a usual place of care and who have seen their health care provider in the past 12 months, MDIETADV reports whether, during the past 12 months, the doctor asked the respondent about or gave advice regarding diet and nutrition.

Universe
- 2001: Sample adults age 18+ with 1+ usual (and specific) place to go when sick/need advice or who have a specific kind of place to usually go for routine preventive care or who see a particular and specific health professional for health care AND who have visited their place/provider for health care during the past 12 months.
