Description
For half of female sample persons, MAML135GYRE reports the time since her last mammogram. The variable categorized the time into different time groups.

Comparability
Apart from changes in the universe, there are no comparability issues. Changes in survey design (e.g., quarters in which the information was collected) may affect raw frequencies, but do not affect comparability of the variable. As always, data users should use the prescribed IHIS weights.
Universe
- 1987: Half of female sample persons age 40+ (excluded from the CAEP supplement) who have ever heard of a mammogram and have had a mammogram, but don't know month/year of last mammogram and don't know time since last mammogram, and reported last mammogram was 1 year or more ago.
- 1992: Half of female sample persons age 30+ in quarters 1 and 2, and in 2 weeks of quarter 3 (excluded from CAEP supplement) who have heard of a mammogram, have ever had a mammogram, whose month and year of last exam was unknown or 1989 and for whom the specific time since last exam was unknown.
