Description

For half of female sample adults age 30 and over who had ever heard of a mammogram (MAMHREV), MAMASTART reports the age at which she thought doctors recommend a woman should start having mammograms.

Comparability

MAMASTART has no comparability issues. As always, data users should use the prescribed IHIS weights.

Universe

  • 1992: Half of female sample persons age 30+ in quarters 1 and 2 and in 2 weeks of quarter 3 (excluded from CAEP supplement) who have heard of a mammogram.
