For sample adults ages 40-65, LTCWANTBUY reports of the person indicated she/he was interested in purchasing long-term care insurance. The field representative informed the respondent about the possibility to enroll in a voluntary, government-run insurance program to pay for help with everyday needs like bathing, dressing or eating where persons pay a monthly premium. Persons were then asked if they would be interested in purchasing this insurance.

This variable can be used to monitor the effects of the Affordable Care Act (ACA).
