Description

For persons in families who have a member that experienced at least one job loss in the past 12 months, LAIDOFMO1 reports the month in which the household member was laid off from a job or lost the most recent job.

Comparability

Apart from changes in the universe, there are no comparability issues. Changes in survey design (e.g., quarters in which the supplement was collected) may affect raw frequencies, but do not affect comparability of the variable. As always, data users should use the prescribed IHIS weights.
