Description

LAHMOTHER indicates whether the person's home has been equipped with any special features apart from a ramp or incline, a room addition, bathroom modification, rails or bars in other parts of the house, kitchen modification, elevators or lifts, or an air purifier, humidifier, or air conditioner in 1977 and ramps, extra wide doors or passages, elevators or lifts, handrails or grab bars, a raised toilet seat, special door knobs, lowered counters, or slip-resistant floors in 1990.

Comparability

Changes to the universe will reduce comparability over time. In 1977, the universe for LAHMOTHER is persons age three and older for whom changes had been made to the house due to their disability. In this year, a "yes" response is indicated in the event that the house was bought with these features.
