For sample adults aged 18 and older, HYPRISKSALT reports responses to the question of whether the sample person thinks salt is strongly associated with high blood pressure, somewhat associated with high blood pressure, or probably not at all associated with high blood pressure.

This variable is part of the Health Promotions and Disease Prevention Supplement, which measures the prevalence of selected health promotion and disease prevention knowledge and practices.
