Description
For sample persons ages 18 and over, HVYDRINKTP indicates the time units (e.g. days, weeks, etc.) for how often the respondent believes a person must drink to be a heavy drinker. HVYDRINKTP should be combined with HVYDRINKNO, which provides the number of time units for how often the respondent believes a person must drink to be a heavy drinker, and HVYDRINKAMT, which provides the number of drinks a person must have on the days when they drink to be a heavy drinker.
