Description
For sample adults age 18 and over who have used firearms in the past 12 months, HRFRPROT reports how often the person wore ear protection (ear plugs or ear muffs) when shooting firearms.
HRFRPROT was included in the sample adult core questionnaire; in 2007, a number of questions about hearing, hearing loss, and hearing aid use were included in the core. Please use the IPUMS NHIS drop down menu and search functions for related variables.
