Description

For sample children under age 18 who have trouble hearing or are deaf, HRDIAGCNO reports the age (in numbers) when the sample child was diagnosed by a doctor or other health professional. Researchers must combine HRDIAGCNO with the variable HRDIAGCTP, which reports the time period (day(s), week(s), month(s), year(s), etc.) for the numbers listed in HRDIAGCNO in order to represent the age of the sample children.

This variable is part of the Sample Child Prevention Module, which provides information on specific health conditions, dental health and oral hygiene, and injury prevention.
