Description
For all persons in families with an employer-based health plan, HIPCONAFFORDRis an NHIS recoded variable that reports how confident the person was that she/he or her/his family would be able to buy a health plan and obtain affordable coverage without an employer.
This variable can be used to monitor the effects of the Affordable Care Act (ACA).
