Description
For persons whose policyholder of the second reported private insurance plan is on the family roster and the plan covers someone outside the family roster (i.e., outside of the household), HIP2KIDOUT reports that the person covered who lives outside the household is the policyholder's child (or stepchild).
The NHIS provides data for the first two private insurance plans reported. Individuals with more than two private plans have a "2" reported for the variable HIPRIVGT2.
