Description
For all persons, HIJOBSTAY reports whether, in the past 2 years, anyone in the family decided to stay in a job rather than take another job mainly because of concerns related to health insurance.
From 1993 to 1996, health insurance was defined as any type of health plan, including single service plans, that paid for hospital, doctor or surgeon's bills.

Comparability
Apart from changes in the universe, there are no comparability issues. Changes in survey design (e.g., quarters in which the supplement was collected) may affect raw frequencies, but do not affect comparability of the variable. As always, data users should use the prescribed IHIS weights.
