Description

For sample adults and children between the ages of 4 and 17 in 2012 whose visits to a practitioner for herbs or other non-vitamin supplements in the past 12 months were (at least partly) covered by health insurance, HERPORT reports whether all or just some of the cost of seeing a practitioner for herbs or other non-vitamin supplements was covered by health insurance.

HERPORT is part of a series of variables from the 2012 supplements on Complementary and Alternative Medicine. In that year, respondents were asked about their use of herbs or other non-vitamin supplements and other modalities of alternative medicine. For more information about the Alternative Health supplements and the full range of variables related to herbs and other non-vitamin supplements, see HERYR.
