Description
For sample persons ages 18 and older who keep firearms in or around their home and own more than one firearm, GUN2WHERE indicates where the firearms are kept. Respondents could choose between "ALL the firearms are kept in LOCKED PLACES", or "One or more firearms are kept in an UNLOCKED PLACE".
GUN2WHERE is part of a series of questions first introduced in 1994 related to firearm safety. For related variables and more information please use the IPUMS NHIS search function and drop-down menus.
