Description
For sample adults age 18 and over who were ever told they have glaucoma in 1991, (GLAUCOMAEV), and persons age 18 and over who have ever been told by a doctor that they have diabetes in 1989, this variable identifies whether respondents were using medication for glaucoma at the time of the interview. The terms "medication" and "now" were respondent-defined.
In 1989, the question for this variable was part of the diabetes follow-up questions, hence the different universe.
