Description
For sample adults who had ever heard of genetic testing for cancer risk (GENTCANHR), and who had ever had a genetic test to determine the risk of developing cancer in the future (GENTCANEV), GENRESUL indicates whether the respondent had received the results of their genetic test for cancer risk.
A follow-up question about how the results were communicated was also asked (GENGOTHOW).
GENRESUL was included in a section of the 2000 Cancer Control Module dedicated to questions on genetic testing. Interviewers began this part of the survey by reading the following statement:
