Description
For sample persons age 18 and older who have ever smoked at least 100 cigarettes and either don't smoke at all or haven't smoked in the past 30 days, FSSTOPSICK indicates if, when the person stopped smoking completely, she/he did so because she/he was sick. Please see the Universe tab for detailed information about who was asked this question.
Universe
- 1992: Half of sample persons age 18+ in quarters 1 and 2, and in 2 weeks of quarter 3 (excluded from CAEP supplement) who have smoked at least 100 cigarettes and either don't smoke at all now OR said they don't smoke at all now but smoke some days, and have not smoked in the past 30 days, OR smoke some days now but haven't smoked in the past 30 days.
