Description

For persons who live in families that own at least one other asset and the other asset owned by the family is a property (FAMOTHPROP = 2), FAMASPROVLFL indicates persons whose information on the net value of the property (FAMASPROVL) was imputed.

 

FAMASPROVLFL is part of the Family Resources supplement that provides information on individuals' health benefits, amount of coverage and income received from employment, welfare benefits, public assistance, and savings during the month prior to the interview. Unlike the core survey, all missing data in this supplement were imputed by NHIS.

Comparability

Changes in the universe in 1993 affect the raw frequency but should not affect the comparability of this variable. As always, users should use the appropriate weight for their analyses.

Universe

  • 1993: Persons in quarters 3 and 4 who live in families where the first other family asset is a property.
  • 1994-1996: Persons who live in families where the first other family asset is a property.
