Description

For sample adults who had participated in yoga in the past 2 weeks (EXYOGA), EXYOGABR reports whether respondents usually experienced a small, moderate, or large increase, or no increase at all in their heart rate or breathing while doing yoga.

After determining that a respondent participated in aerobics or aerobic dancing, respondents were first asked, "How many times in the past 2 weeks did you do yoga?" (EXYOGANO). They were then asked, "On the average, about how many minutes did you spend doing yoga?" (EXYOGAMIN). Finally, to obtain information for EXYOGABR, respondents were asked, "What usually happened to your heart rate or breathing when you did yoga? Did you have a small, moderate, or large increase, or no increase at all in your heart rate or breathing?"
