Description

For sample adults who had participated in volleyball in the past 2 weeks (EXVOLLEY), EXVOLLEYBR reports whether respondents usually experienced a small, moderate, or large increase, or no increase at all in their heart rate or breathing while playing volleyball.

After determining that a respondent participated in aerobics or aerobic dancing, respondents were first asked, "How many times in the past 2 weeks did you play volleyball?" (EXVOLLEYNO). They were then asked, "On the average, about how many minutes did you spend playing volleyball each time?" (EXVOLLEYMIN). Finally, to obtain information for EXVOLLEYBR, respondents were asked, "What usually happened to your heart rate or breathing when you play volleyball? Did you have a small, moderate, or large increase, or no increase at all in your heart rate or breathing?"
