Description

For sample adults who had participated in racquetball in the past 2 weeks (EXRACQUET), EXRACQUETBR reports whether respondents usually experienced a small, moderate, or large increase, or no increase at all in their heart rate or breathing while playing racquetball.

After determining that a respondent participated in aerobics or aerobic dancing, respondents were first asked, "How many times in the past 2 weeks did you play racquetball?" (EXRACQUETNO). They were then asked, "On the average, about how many minutes did you spend playing racquetball each time?" (EXRACQUETMIN). Finally, to obtain information for EXRACQUETBR, respondents were asked, "What usually happened to your heart rate or breathing when you played racquetball? Did you have a small, moderate, or large increase, or no increase at all in your heart rate or breathing?"
