Description

For sample adults who had participated in dancing in the past 2 weeks (EXDANCE), EXDANCEBR reports whether respondents usually experienced a small, moderate, or large increase, or no increase at all in their heart rate or breathing while dancing.

After determining that a respondent participated in dancing, respondents were first asked, "How many times in the past 2 weeks did you go dancing?" (EXDANCENO). They were then asked, "On the average, about how many minutes did you spend dancing?" (EXDANCEMIN). Finally, to obtain information for EXDANCEBR, respondents were asked, "What usually happened to your heart rate or breathing when you went dancing? Did you have a small, moderate, or large increase, or no increase at all in your heart rate or breathing?"
