Description
For sample adults, EGGNUM indicates the number of eggs consumed each time the respondent ate eggs. Researchers may which to use EGGNUM with the related variables EGGNO, which reports the frequency with which the respondent ate eggs, and EGGTP, which reports the corresponding time unit.

Universe
- 1987: Half of sample persons age 18+ (excluded from CACT supplement) who consumed eggs during the past year.
- 1992: Half of sample persons age 18+ in quarters 1 and 2 and 2 weeks in quarter 3 (excluded from CACT supplement) who consumed eggs during the past year.
