Description

For sample persons ages 40 and over who have heard of a digital rectal exam and had a digital rectal exam in the past three years, DRXLTOLD reports the method, if any, by which the person was told the results of the test.

Comparability

There are no comparability issues with this variable.

Universe

  • 1987: Half of sample persons age 40+ (excluded from CAEP supplement) who have heard of a digital rectal exam and have had exam in the past 3 years.
