Codes and Frequencies
For sample adults who made lasting and major changes in what they eat or drink for health reasons, DIETCHANGYR indicates that the person made these changes within the past 12 months of taking the survey. Dietary changes include both changes the person made after being diagnosed with a disease, or changes to prevent a disease. It does not include temporary changes over a short period of time.

- 1987: Sample persons age 18+ who ever made any lasting and major changes to what they eat and drink for health reasons and made changes in the past five years.
