Description

For persons ages 18 and older who have confirmed diabetes, DIAWTCHGYR reports whether the person now weighs more, less, or about the same as a year ago.

This question is complementary to WTCHGYR, which was asked of sample adults who do not have confirmed diabetes.

This variable is included in the 1989 Diabetes supplement. For related variables, please use the IPUMS NHIS search function and drop-down menus.
