Description
For sample adults age 18 and older have ever been told they have diabetes (DIABETICEV) and have had laser or photocoagulation treatment for retina damage problems in the past 12 months (DIARETLASYR), DIARETLAS1ST reports if the treatment that the respondent received in the past 12 months was the first time she/he had this treatment.

- 1989 1991: Sample persons age 18+ who were ever told they had diabetes (other than during pregnancy), whose diabetes had affected their retina, and who received laser treatment for their retina in the past 12 months.
