Description

For sample adults who had social distancing measures in effect at their main job or business they held in the past 12 months (CVDMNJOBSD12M), CVDWCLNOSD12M indicates how often they needed to work closer than 6 feet to other people when social distancing measures were not in effect.

NCHS added nearly 30 questions related to COVID starting in quarter 3 of the 2020 NHIS questionnaire, eight of which are asked of both sample adults and sample children. For the full list of variables, as well as information about COVID-related changes to the NHIS, please see the user note.

  • 2020: Sample adults age 18+ interviewed in quarter 3 or 4 who had social distancing measures in effect at their main job or business they held in the past 12 months (CVDMNJOBSD12M).
  • 2021: Sample adults age 18+ who had social distancing measures in effect at their main job or business they held in the past 12 months (CVDMNJOBSD12M.)
