Description
For sample persons age 18 and older who are current everyday smokers who have ever quit for reasons other than sickness only, CSQWHYCHLTH indicates if the person mentioned concern about her/his current health as a reason she/he tried to stop smoking. Please see the Universe tab for detailed information regarding who was asked this question.
Universe
- 1992: Half of sample persons age 18+ in quarters 1 and 2 and in 2 weeks of quarter 3 (excluded from CAEP supplement) who have smoked at least 100 cigarettes, smoke cigarettes now, smoke every day, and have ever stopped smoking for 1 day or more, and whose reason for stopping was not ONLY because of sickness.
