Description
For sample adults age 18 and older who tried to quit smoking in the past 12 months (CSSTOPEV), CSQSPRAYYR indicates if the person used a nicotine containing nasal spray or inhaler during her/his last attempt to quit smoking.
Comparability
In 2005, this question was asked of sample adults who have smoked at least 100 cigarettes, are current smoker, and have tried to quit in the past 12 months.
In 2010 and 2015, this question was asked of sample adults who are current smokers and tried to quit in the last year, but was not restricted only to those who have smoked at least 100 cigarettes.
In 2022, this question was asked of sample adults 18 and older who tried to quit smoking in the past 12 months (CSSTOPEV).
