Description

For sample adults age 18 and older who have smoked at least 100 cigarettes, currently smoke or whose current smoking status is unknown, and who ever tried to quit smoking for at least 1 day or for whom it is unknown if she/he ever tried to quit smoking for at least 1 day, CSQOTHEREV indicates if the person used any methods other than those already listed during her/his last attempt to stop smoking.
Previously listed methods include: stopping all at once; gradually decreasing the number of cigarettes smoked in a day; following instructions in a book or pamphlet; using nicotine nasal spray; using nicotine inhaler; switching to chewing tobacco or snuff; having one-on-one counseling; attending a stop-smoking clinic or program; using nicotine gum; using nicotine patch; or using medication such as Zyban, Buproprion, or Wellbutrin.
