Description
For sample persons age 18 and older who have smoked at least 100 cigarettes, currently smoke every day or some days, have smoked at least once in the past 30 days or it is unknown if she/he smoked in past 30 days, CSQADVEV indicates whether a medical doctor or dentist ever advised the respondent to quit smoking.
Universe
- 1992: Half of sample persons age 18+ in quarters 1 and 2 and in 2 weeks of quarter 3 (excluded from CAEP supplement) who have smoked at least 100 cigarettes and are every day smokers OR are some day smokers who have smoked at least once in the past 30 days (or for whom it was unknown whether they had smoked in past 30 days).
