For sample persons age 18 and older who have smoked at least 100 cigarettes, currently smoke cigarettes every day, and have ever tried to stop smoking for 1 day or more, CSOFFWK indicates number of weeks the person actually stopped smoking cigarettes the last time she/he tried to stop smoking.
Universe
- 1992: Half of sample persons age 18+ in quarters 1 and 2 and 2 weeks of quarter 3 (excluded from CAEP supplement) who have smoked at least 100 cigarettes, smoke cigarettes now, smoke every day, and have ever stopped smoking for 1 day or more.
