Description
For sample adults age 40 and older who ever had a colorectal screening exam, CREWHY reports the main reason the person had her/his most recent colorectal exam. Please see Codes tab for details on possible responses.
Comparability
Response categories changed slightly between years. In 2005 and 2008, possible responses included: part of a routine exam, because of a problem, or other reason. In 2000 and 2003, possible responses included: part of a routine physical exam/screening test, because of a specific problem, follow-up test of an earlier test or screening exam, family history, or, other.
