Description
For sample adults age 40 and older, CREVER indicates whether the person ever had a colorectal screening exam. Screening exams mentioned include sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy, or proctoscopy exams. If necessary, interviewers provided the following description: "These are exams in which a health care professional inserts a tube into the rectum to look for signs of cancer or other problems".
