Description
For sample adults, CPRTRAIN reports answers to the question, "Have you ever received formal training or certification in CPR for adults?"
The 2001 Field Representative's Manual defines CPR as follows:
CPR or cardiopulmonary resuscitation is an emergency procedure used to treat victims of cardiac and respiratory arrest. Special training is recommended for CPR, which combines external heart massage (to keep the blood flowing through the body) with artificial respiration (to keep air flowing in and out of the lungs).

For persons with an affirmative response in CPRTRAIN, CPRTRAINYR reports answers to the follow-up question, "How long ago was this?" (with answers recorded in term of grouped years, ranging from "1 year ago or less" to "More than 5 years ago.")
