Description

For sample adults aged 40 and older who have ever had a colonoscopy or had both a colonoscopy and sigmoidoscopy (COLSIGEV), COLPAY reports how much the person paid out of pocket for their most recent colonoscopy: none, part, or all of the cost.

Comparability

Prior to 2019, there are no comparability issues. The NHIS questionnaire was substantially redesigned in 2019 to introduce a different data collection structure and new content.
